Honoring Our Veterans: Dave's Journey in the Navy
In 1966, Dave was drafted to serve his country during the Vietnam War. He enrolled in the United States Navy and spent six years aboard nuclear submarines, including the USS Skipjack and the USS Hammerhead, where he played a critical role as a mechanic. His dedication to the Navy and his country was recognized with an honorable discharge in 1972.

The training Dave received at the Naval Submarine School was exceptional, equipping him with the technical expertise and discipline necessary to serve aboard a nuclear submarine. This foundation helped shape his career and life, leaving a lasting impact that continues to resonate in all his endeavors.
Service as a Mechanic on Nuclear Submarines
During his time on the USS Skipjack and USS Hammerhead, Dave was responsible for maintaining the complex systems that kept these vessels operational. His technical expertise and ability to work under pressure in challenging environments made him an invaluable member of the crew.
Shaping a Successful Career
The skills Dave acquired during his Navy service greatly influenced his post-military career. His time aboard nuclear submarines instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility, teamwork, and excellence, values he continued to uphold in every aspect of his professional life.
He also worked for 48 years at Pratt & Whitney, an Aerospace Defense Manufacuring Company.
