I’m Tatyana Dickinson, an immigrant from the USSR, a country that no longer exists. Today, I am a successful engineer, author, and artist. I aim to shed light on immigrant stories through art and literature.

Insights on Cultural Adaptation

In my quest to become a successful professional in America, I learned valuable lessons about making changes to adapt to a new cultural environment. Because of my experiences, I have learned to value the importance of humility, respect for others, building real relationships, and learning to trust and be trusted.

Books and Paintings

I have published two fiction books, Good Morning After Supper and But of Course, which are based on true stories from my own life. Currently, I am working on my third book, Elefant Never Forget.
In addition to writing relatable immigrant stories, I am also an accomplished painter who creates beautiful artwork, some of which are available for purchase while others are reserved as gifts for loved ones. I showcased my artistic talents in painting exhibits at the Art Center East in Vernon, CT. My shows in April 2016, June 2018, and April 2023 have been well-received by art enthusiasts.

I also share wisdom for those who are married or planning to get married. Having been married to my husband for 29 years until his passing. My work also aims to provide guidance and support for individuals dealing with the loss of a best friend, grief, and alcohol or drug addiction.

One my pages is dedicated to exploring the historical context of the wars between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the Cold War between the US and USSR. My unique perspective sheds light on these complex geopolitical conflicts.
